I ‘m talking about a slice of Pizza and a soda for your blog. I’m talking about making your blog available to some of the biggest blog content providers (social bookmarking, blog farms, aggregators, etc) around. I will discuss two places, Technorati and Bloglines, to register your blog or blog’s feed so you can get tons of free traffic. Take 5 minutes to register at each of these sites and you will see more traffic (if your writing is good!).

5 Places to Promote Your Articles

April 27, 2008 Category: Blogging 0 Comments →

If your content is original, relevant and well written you will naturally get traffic. But more exposure can never hurt and for bloggers without a mass following of subscribers they should submit their articles to popular social bookmarking sites to get noticed. After you write an article you should submit them to these five sources.

1. Digg

Digg is a popular site to get you quick traffic. If your article is unique it can turn your website into a popular destination over night. Each article is assigned a number. Every new article starts with one digg. If another user likes the article they cast a vote and “Digg” it. The more Diggs, the more visible your article. A single unique, well written article can do wonders for your blog. Some categories do better than others. For instance, Technology and news seems to do better than others. If you have a great video or pic submit them as well!

2. Stumbleupon

Stumbleupon is a random site generator. Simply put, you download a toobar that allows you to click on a thumbs up or thumbs down. These are votes that allow Stumbleupon figure out what type of sites you like. If you click on the stumble button it will bring you to a site based on your noted past preferences. For instance, if you have voted on a lot of NFL football sites with the thumbs up button you will likley be brought to NFL sites. After you write the article click on the “Thumbs up” button and fill in the info. This will get your article is the stumble rotation. I typically generate more traffic from Stumble Upon than any other site.

7 Ways to Rank Well, The Matt Cutt’s Style

April 20, 2008 Category: PageRank, SEO 0 Comments →

I ‘m pretty sure, we’ve all red about seo here and there. Guess what, this one is definitely the coolest, as it cames from Matt Cutts himself. From an interview Matt Cutss with Performancing.

Below are the 7 ways to get ranked well in google:

  • Google’s webmaster guidelines. Take the time to read Google’s webmaster guidelines
  • Don’t bother with year/month/day in blog urls; Just use the first few words from the title of the post in the url
  • Don’t try to rank for a huge phrase at first - pick a smaller niche and get to be known as an expert there, and then build your way out and up
  • Controversial posts are sure to build links, but too many controversial posts may undermine your credibility.
I think you attract more links with a conversational style, humor, and doing your own research to produce new insights or tidbits of info
  • Commenting on other blogs isn’t that useful. There are a lot of ways to build a reputation, from having a great blog to producing a unique service to speaking at conferences.
  • A single creative idea that catches fire in the blogosphere or digg.com is probably more useful than just chasing/buying/trading links.
  • Original information or research is great bait to attract links

2 Essential Things in Blog : Interlinking And TimeStamp

April 19, 2008 Category: Blogging, PageRank, SEO 0 Comments →

Just browse around, and read some articles, and I find my self got reminded of 2 things which are definitely essential in blogging and Search Engine Optimization.
It explained that two of the reasons why blogs fared so well in search engines was because of Interlinking and Timestamps.

1. Interlinking

- Search engines tend to rank more highly pages that are linked to by similar pages. So even though by interlinking your pages you are essentially linking to yourself, some search engines see this as a sign of relevancy as at least you are writing about the same topic.

- Problogger points out that Search Engines index blogs by sending robot crawlers to sites to track what you ‘ve written and to follow the links.

Interlinking your blog will make this easier for search engines as they can crawl your site more quickly and effectively. Most SEO experts recommend that you provide some sort of Site Map that means every page on your blog is just a link or two away from every other one. One way to do this for bloggers is to make sure that your category pages are in your sidebars.

9 Ways to Survive the Google PageRank

April 18, 2008 Category: AdSense, Blogging, PageRank, SEO 0 Comments →

Broke up

Breaking up with Google PageRank after years of relationship? Not for long. That’s for sure, if you follow these 9 search engine flirtations. You ‘ll have google back on your tail soon! I repeat, real soon.

1. Go bold

Just as women love bold suitors, so do search engines. Start highlighting keywords on each page with the tag to increase search relevance. Search engines are attracted to words contained in the H1 and B tags. Just don’t go wild- two bold words per page is enough.

2. Go Deeper

Having other sites drill deep into your web at various locations tells google that ‘hey, this guy has varied useful content’. It’s poor SEO strategy to acquire links just to link to the homepage. The search engines may ultimately discount those links

Your Adsense account got terminated? You might involved in these 7 things below.
Whether intentionally or unintentionally, will result in a severe penalty, may get you banned and even have your account terminated. Nothing like a good action taken to keep wrongdoers from doing the same things over again.

Here we go:

1. Hidden Texts

Filling your advertisement page with texts to small to read, has the same color as the background and using CSS for the sole purpose of loading them with rich keywords content and copy will earn you a penalty award that is given to those who are hiding links.

2. Page Cloaking

There is a common practice of using browser or bot sniffers to serve the bots of a different page other than the page your visitors will see. Loading a page with a bot that a human user will never see is a definite no-no. This is tricking them to click on something that you want but they may not want to go to.

3. Multiple submissions

AdSense Require Quality Contents!

April 16, 2008 Category: AdSense, SEO 0 Comments →

To know why AdSense is essential for your content sites is to know first how this works. The concept is really simple, if you think about it. The publisher or the webmaster inserts a javascript into a certain website. Each time the page is accessed, the javascript will pull advertisements from the AdSense program. The ads that are targeted should therefore be related to the content that is contained on the web page serving the ad. If a visitor clicks on an advertisement, the webmaster serving the ad earns a portion of the money that the advertiser is paying the search engine for the click.

The search engine is the one handling all the tracking and payments, providing an easy way for webmasters to display content-sensitive and targeted ads without having the hassle to solicit advertisers, collect funds, monitor the clicks and statistics which could be a time-consuming task in itself. It seems that there is never a shortage of advertisers in the program from which the search engine pulls the AdSense ads. Also webmasters are less concerned by the lack of information search engines are providing and are more focused in making cash from these search engines.

AdSense is essential for content sites.

The first reason why AdSense is essential for content sites is because it already has come a long way in understanding the needs of publishers and webmasters. Together with its continuous progression is the appearance of more advanced system that allows full ad customization. Webmasters are given the chance to choose from many different types of text ad formats to better complement their website and fit their webpage layout.

Site Navigation

The thing is, to get visitors to your high paying keyword pages, you need to optimize your site navigation.

AdSense versus AdWords

April 15, 2008 Category: AdSense 0 Comments →

We’ve all knew Google AdSense and AdWords, even though they are relative newcomers to the internet marketing scene. They tell of the wonders of this marketing opportunity and encourage all to launch themselves in their internet marketing career.

What’re AdSense and AdWords

So, what are AdSense and AdWords? What differences are there between them? This is information that you need but is not offered by the fanatics eager to find a new convert. You would be surprised about how little information these fanatics can have. That is the one thing internet marketers need in order to be a success: information.

Google AdWords is based on a very simple concept. If someone goes to Google and types in some words in the search engine bar they are asking Google to point them into direction to find what they want. These words they use are known to internet marketers and related people as: keywords.

Keywords are the words used to direct a target audience to a particular advertisement or website. By creating advertisements incorporating these keywords advertisers can have their ads displayed along with the various search results that Google comes up with and the amount of exposure their ads receive all but doubles.
